Job Summary
A Field Officer in Microfinance is responsible for working directly with customers in villages and semi-urban areas to provide small loans, collect repayments, and build strong relationships with self-help groups (SHGs) and individual borrowers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and enroll new customers for microfinance loans
- Form and manage Self-Help Groups (SHGs) or Joint Liability Groups (JLGs)
- Explain loan products, interest rates, and repayment schedules clearly
- Collect weekly/monthly loan repayments on time
- Maintain accurate customer and collection records
- Conduct field visits and household verifications
- Build trust and maintain good relationships with clients
- Report daily activities to the branch manager
- Ensure compliance with company policies and RBI guidelines
Eligibility & Skills
- Minimum qualification: 10th / 12th / Any Degree
- Freshers can apply (training will be provided)
- Good communication skills (Tamil mandatory)
- Willingness to travel to villages and work in the field
- Basic knowledge of mobile apps / records preferred
- Two-wheeler with driving license is an advantage
